Targeted Nutritional Intervention for Down Syndrome – Poster – click here to download

I’ve been so busy i almost forgot I have a poster on display this long weekend at Metagenics Congress at the Pullman and Mercure, Albert Park, Melbourne. The poster will be on display for around 500 Practitioners attending the conference and is designed to make Nutrigenetic Intervention, and its supporting research, known to practicing Naturopaths, Chiropractors, Nutritionists, Doctors and others attending.

I am hoping this will make it easier to get approval from your healthcare provider to use these products for your children. This poster can also be printed and taken to your physician to explain a little bit of the science behind Nutrigenetic Intervenetion and where they can get more information.

Three third party trials have been conducted on Nutrigenetic supplements. The research has been published in Journals and the graphs are here on display. The take home message is that after taking a Nutrigenetic supplement, children with Down Syndrome had increased levels of Catalase and GPx (Glutathione peroxidase) which are the cofactors necessary to convert toxic hydrogen peroxide, made by excess SOD1,  to water and oxygen. This reduces oxidative stress levels and lipid peroxidation in people with Down Syndrome, which creates a less stressful biochemistry for them.

Feel free to use this poster anytime, if it helps you.
